Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

If the winds had been howling, Arturio might have arrived later, but he knew the pups were coming sooner or later, and so he would have eventually made his way to Glorall, even if he had not been alerted to their arrival. Still, his tail waved ever so slightly. There was a strange excitement in the pups' arrival to the world. He wasn't quite sure how to explain it. It made for a unique dynamic between the three of them.

But, the pups were all siblings just the same, whether none, one, two, or three. It didn't matter. Arturio grinned, catching the jest in his voice. Of course Nari was strong. If she weren't, the white brute imagined their relationship would be very different. Nor would they be in their current situation. "By her strength? Never. It's her actions that always make for surprises," he said. Never would he deny what any mother was capable of. His own had died bringing him into the world. That was a special kind of strength. His imprint held it. It was the things she did that always seemed to keep the rest of the world guessing.

Arturio watched Eden for a moment more before turning his emerald gaze back toward her and the children. A glimpse of them as Nari shifted to make room. It would certainly be a snug fit, but he did not deny the wish to lay proper eyes on four squirming balls of fur. Arturio nodded. Perhaps it was. These children were in a unique, potentially powerful, and quite precarious position, and they didn't even know it yet. His eyes drifted across each one as he slid into the den behind Eden. Giving what space he could given the confines.

The flicker from Eden on the lighter colored girl to him was not lost. Even Arturio could not deny the familiarity that he saw. That one was reminiscent of his mother. A description he only knew from being told about her. His gaze lingered on her for a moment before drifting back to the other three. Any one of them could be, but the one girl, he was almost certain. The silence was not, surprisingly, uncomfortable, nor did he wish to press to be closer. There were now two wolves to be considerate of here. As much as Arturio enjoyed being near to his imprint, there was also Eden to be mindful of.

Still, the White Knight is enamored with the four pups snuggled close to their mother. He actually didn't care which ones were or weren't his. They would all be treated, by him at least, as though they were. Let them be close, he told himself. As bound as he and Nari are, there was a different relationship between his imprint and the Fortitude. Perhaps there was a small pang of jealousy, but still she had chosen to come to him even after he left for Asteraia. After his talk with Eden, he wondered what went on in her mind sometimes.

Once certain all was well, waiting for any sign that she might need a healer, or to oust the two of them from the den, he spoke quietly, "Perhaps now is as good a time as any to at least name them." He rested his head on his paws, emerald optics drifting over the squirming masses once again. Indeed, names. Nari would never use them, but the rest of the world would. Though there was a strong chance they might be a well kept secret for now. At least until there was a level of certainty on who belonged to whom. His eyes flicked to Eden again. There was also the matter of allowing the children to come and go, or even Arturio coming and going. There was one certainty. He would not be omitted from their lives just because of geography.
