Matianak observed her imprint casually. Her pale gaze watching his body language. Something she was learning more and more spoke volumes for those who could not control it. Still, she smiled as their eyes met. While she felt nothing more for Asriel than he did for her, the grey coated female would not deny that there could be some advantages to their bond. Of course, Mat could have just as readily continued to leave him in peace, but she needed an outsider's voice.
A seemingly light-hearted laugh escaped her. "Of course not, Asriel," she said. Though it was also quite clear in her tone if anyone had dared give him any issue, Matianak was not going to permit anyone to do such a thing to her imprint. After all, in a way similar to her father, this boy was hers, and hers alone. Her tail flicked slightly, still observing him, wondering if he might have a tell or something that might give way to whatever thoughts he had.
No... She mused in that quiet second. Asriel was a very indifferent sort of wolf. Everything about him, to her at least, screamed indifference to... just about everything. It might have been an inaccurate assumption, but he didn't leap for joy either upon her approach. "Oh, the usual. Trying to lay appropriate plans to deal with a bothersome pest, keeping said plans hidden from those who might stop me," she said with a smile. It was very much a truth, but to those unaware of her way with words, it might seem a joke. After all, who would really believe her capable of certain things until they actually happened?
