His croaching had given her a moment or two to do her best to catch up; she ploughed forward, an unstoppable force, but he seems to have others plans as he begins to lope forward again. She huffs but is otherwise undeterred, a tenacious creature when focused on satisfying her curiosity. But his words catch her off guard though perhaps not in the way intended; she might have shrunken back had she decided to be a lady today but instead, she reels back with a loud "Ehhhh?" and a snort. She grinned to herself and wiggled in place for a moment as if about to chase down a tasty morsel. So, he was like that, was he? Good! Challenges were more fun.
So she races along faster then despite her gangly gait; her tail bounces proudly above her, not so bothered about staying concealed unlike her unwilling companion. "I am hungry. You look the same." She isn't truly hungry, at least not to the point of bothering to do anything about it, but she was working off generalizations - weren't loners always hungry? That's what gave pack wolves the upperhand. In any case, the only uncertainty in her words come from her needing to switch to his language. Still, her expressison is not at all uncertain as she forces herself to catch up and move closer alongside him: rather than uncertain, her lips are peeled back into an up-to-no-good grin.
She wonders if this is an opening for her - could she somehow learn something from this boy even if he did seem much less pleased about the situation than her? She was only really used to her brothers who were much more...amicable towards her wants. This was new but exciting. Maybe she could even get him to teach her how to fight too if she kept at it!
