I AM SPINNING IN INFINITY
Ehiyeh shrugged at his response. "Perhaps some questions are not supposed to be answered." She said, simply. Maybe it was the wondering that had caused her downward spiral, after all. If she did not concern herself so much with trying to dissect what had happened, then perhaps she would not have turned out like she is now-- chaotic, confused, searching. Even her own children seemed to be the same way. If they had never started searching for answers, she wondered, would they all be in the same position they were now? She clicked her tongue, deep in thought once more, forever trapped inside of her own head, it seemed. Ehiyeh had to wonder if everyone who sought after an endless question was the same way.
But they moved along, as they always did, and the clarity slowly returned to her expression. She had to chuckle at her brother's remark, shaking her head slightly. She knew that she was not wise, and perhaps that was where wisdom truly came from-- to know that you knew nothing. Ehiyeh assumed that now, she knew even less than she would have known before all of this happened, despite her gain in experience. Did Elohim feel the same, she wondered? Her ears twitched slightly, glancing over at him as he bowed his head. She couldn't help but grin back at him, bumping into his shoulder with her own in a display of playful liveliness that was seldom seen.
"Do you think you could do that, Elohim?" She asked, still grinning. "Did our father not try, by killing that man? Will you do the same for me?" There was a playful challenge in her voice, staring up at him with her violet eyes glittering. Who might he kill, she wondered, her grin growing a bit wider. Were there more left in the world that sought to do her harm? Instead of sending her spiraling, the thought simply came and passed as it should. Her grin turned hopeful and tears sprung to her eyes, but she turned away before he could see, grinning to herself. Healing, perhaps-- as painful as it was.
Ehiyeh suddenly sprang past him, her tail dragging across his side, a sort of invitation to join in her play. She danced forward a few steps, before whirling around and staring at him daringly. "I wonder if you'd kill like an assassin or a knight, Elohim." She teased, prancing across the sandy soil, her head held high for once. They never did get the chance to play while they were children-- so why not now?
