During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

All The Small Things

Kenryk’s body had been changing rapidly, and the days had been long. Struggling to learn to live in this new world he had been thrown into. Learning to nurse, to see, to hear, to walk. It seemed like every new day came with a massive list of things that Kenryk needed to learn to do. And the tiger striped boy was exhausted, always. Each tiny new task required an incredulous amount of effort on his part. Learning sounds and sights, new smells that wafted into the small den, sent his brain into overdrive, gears spinning constantly. How did everyone else do it? His brother, was often concentrated on something so hard, struggling so intensely to complete a task, that the starry boy would just drop dead. Kenryk generally tried to follow his brother’s sleeping pattern. If Kaukab dropped mid task, Kenryk would stop was he was doing and wander over to his brother, and either drape himself across him or cuddle up next to him, keeping each other warm on chilly spring nights and mornings.

Everything changed, so fast. Walking, for example, Kenryk went from being barely able to hold himself upright on four paws, to leaping and bounding, running full speed in what felt like a matter of days. Sharp, uncomfortable fangs shot up seemingly overnight, where previously only gums had been. Now, Kenryks dark espresso ears had just started to stand up, and look like actual ears. So when they flickered on their own, at the sound of Kahlan’s voice, it startled him a little. The movement was so rapid, so unexpected, that it startled the tiger striped boy out of his sleep. Mismatched opticals open wide, one ivory paw swatting at the unruly audit, before his brother’s paw landed squarely on his back. A low grunt escapes from Kenryk’s lips, and he cocks his skull back, yawning first, and then looking upward at his brother and gnawing gently on his mottled paw, sharp little puppy teeth gently clamping and unclamping on Kaukab’s starry night painted appendage.

Suddenly, the short exchange between his brother and mother clicked, and the small brindle lad sprang onto his feet, not bothering to notice that the movement most likely unsettled kaukab balance and knocked him over. Tail thrashing side to side eagerly, a snowy white paw, lifts and swats at the air in front of his mother excitedly. “Can we go on an adventure?”
