He wondered if the pup had ever heard stories of him the way he used to hear stories of the children before him. What did his father say about him and his brother Silas? Did he believe Silas wasn't his until his dying day? Did he even think of Loki or was he brushed off? At least he didn't do anything to make Enderly regret him like he did that one brother, Underidge. He knew he didn't do anything crazy so surely Enderly didn't think of him that way. He was just quiet. The pup seemed nervous around him but he didn't know why. Was it something he said? Something he did? He didn't think he was really doing much of anything besides talking to the pup. What was he so scared of? At one point the pup looked like he wanted to say something but instead he held his tongue. Loki continued to blink at him, asking why he was angry but the pup only told him that Enderly wasn't like that around him. He tilted his head. "Huh. Must have changed then. He was always like that with my mother and before her." He said in a matter of fact tone, his shoulders shrugging. When he asked for proof of Enderly's demise, something changed in the pup's face. It was almost crumbling. Was he about to cry? Loki's ears flicked back and forth. But then the pup spoke, saying he was there. So he was a witness to Enderly's end? Loki's ears pricked forward. A brother and a daughter. So family. How...strange. He scowled thoughtfully. "So my brother too then. But not Silas? Do you know which brother?" He wouldn't know the daughter the pup spoke of anyway since he didn't know any of his other siblings, let alone their children. It was odd to think of his father being murdered, and by his own son. His thoughts went to Underidge, the crazy one. Could he possibly be the one that turned on his own father? The way Enderly used to talk about him, he could see that. But who would be crazy enough to mate with a wolf like that and create a daughter? And obviously one just as crazy, if he was correct. Killers. So he wasn't the only one. Loki scowled. He could tell the pup was trying not to cry again. He sighed. Crying would solve nothing. Couldn't he see that? He was even stuttering. The boy told him that they chased him away. The idea of him trying to stop them was almost laughable but not enough to actually make Loki react. Instead he raised a brow. "You are much too small and young to stop a full grown wolf from killing someone, let alone two. That was a foolish effort." Then he told the pup that he was Enderly's son too and he watched the emotions on the pup's face. He looked to be in shock mostly but then there was a scent of fear around him. Loki tilted his head. He nodded to the question. "If you are his son then yes, that would make us brothers." The boy took a step back and Loki watched him, unsure what to do about it. Was he about to run or something? Why? When he asked about Silas, the boy shook his head, saying he never met him but said he was with Loki and Eris. He scowled and shook his head. "We separated and I haven't seen him or Eris since." Then he said that if he came to kill him, he was already dead. Loki scowled again thoughtfully. Kill him? Would he kill Enderly? He didn't think that was his intention but then, he didn't know his intention in finding him. He only knew that he'd wanted to find him. "That is true. I just wanted to find him. But instead I found you. Would you know the ones who killed him if you saw them again?" He wasn't sure what he wanted to do with that information yet but it seemed relevant. If he couldn't find his father, maybe he could find other siblings. It was a start.
