Kajika took his role as a hunter seriously. Both while in Taviora and now Asteraia. He was moving his path outside the pack, starting with the southwest towards the fields that connected to the southern parts of the Plains. Within the pack, prey was hard to come by. He needed to find out if that was true on the outside as well. How far would his packmates need to go for food?

The brindle and white boy was not large, so staying low in the tall grasses and being nearly invisible to the untrained eye was easy. He was following scent trails, wondering how far some of the larger creatures were ranging. So far, he was turning up with next to nothing. It was less than reassuring and more than a little disconcerting. Kajika's ears laid back. This was not good. A frown creased his maw as he continued tracking.

But every path he followed was old. Wishful thoughts in hopes that it might lead to something that had lingered. All the fresher trails seemed to range father west. Farther than was reasonable to take back to the pack. Kajika's nose scrunched slightly at this realization. After a few minutes of standing there, mildly frustrated, he settled to his haunches, thinking about possible avenues for his pack to remain fed while working towards his own goals.
