Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

What if we only had tonight?

No, he wasn't the best looking thing out there. Lar was rather scraggly and half starved to be honest. Not by his own fault really, but it was the reality of the situation. He couldn't find his family; didn't know they no longer existed and had been slaughtered. No, he figured he'd just lost them and they were out there somewhere; looking for him. Yeah, it was actually pretty sad. One could pity a pup and he wasn't a vicious thing either. He wasn't moody or cruel toward others. It wasn't in his nature but no one knew that yet. They could only see a lonely; scared child. That's just what Lar was to anyone right now. Even another pup.

Dusk was becoming darker and he glanced around. The sound of an owl sang out into the night and he crouched a little. He shook himself and his ears perked toward her voice as she spoke again toward him this time. It was direct and he knew that. It didn't fully register though; he was in pretty bad shape to be truthful. The touch of the pup to his own body brought him to the reality that she was warm. Another body to bring heat to a starving; troubled child. He felt the touch of her cheek to his own in the form of a nudge and he whined a little.

There was no fight in him as she had begun to nudge and push him in whatever direction she knew. He had no reason to argue. She was of no danger to him as far as he could tell. He didn't know her mother, but he didn't exactly know her either. It didn't matter though; she was someone and he'd needed that right now. When she mentioned her mother knowing if they were family or not, he perked a little. At the mention of food though; Lar was sold completely. He picked up his feet; tripping a little as they moved. He was moving though.

There was excitement in Mabel now he'd noticed; if only barely. He could pass off as one of these pups, but he didn't know that. How could he? He only realized that there was a similar appearance to Mabel and he. He didn't even know yet that he could literally pass off as one of this mother and father's kids. Striking similarities without even trying. Just born that way honestly.

"Food sounds ...g...good." His teeth chattered a little but he kept moving as she herded him forward; home. He didn't realize it would be home, but he wasn't going to argue this chance of luck. Not at all. "I'm Larionus." He figured a name was in order. It couldn't hurt to give it up after all to another pup.
