The chuffed bark of the black and silver male had done its job to notify the wolves of the plains of a stranger's arrival on their turf. Admittedly, it took Ripper a bit longer to respond to the announcement of the unknown wolves' intrusion than it likely should have. Perhaps it was time that a show of force reminded the wolves of Moladion were not welcome to traipse across Asteraia as they had been under the sunshine and rainbow alphas of the past. His dark ears flicked back in irritation, but finally he deigned to rise to his paws and set off in the direction of the call. Alas, as he grew closer, he spotted his sister's immense form along with the little male that seemed to walk in her shadow more often than not. A curiosity, but not much of a worry to Ripper. If Sekhmet deemed him pack, then so he was.
Ripper observed them from afar, lowering his hindquarters to the earth as he noted what he could about the two foreigners from such a distance. After a short while, Sekhmet and her little shadow moved off with the black male, while the unknown shewolf remained behind. His great head lifted slightly, knowing full well that no matter what kind of agreement she might have with the male, leaving the other wolf alone within the territory was not something she would exactly like. Rolling his shoulders, he stood and sauntered across the distance that separated them.
When she spotted him approaching, as he knew she would, her figured seemed almost to go rigid. As he came closer, he noticed the toad hanging from her mouth, and a few of his own teeth became exposed in a small grin at her appearance. She seemed so on guard, as if the pool in his home somehow belonged to her - an outsider - and yet there was something comical about the toad hanging in her grasp. Only all too quickly she dropped the thing, and Ripper's grin became more tight lipped as he came to stand before her. Where she was tense, he was relaxed - this was his home, and more so than that he was simply not the type to get worked up without reason. It took far too much energy with a body as bulky as his.
At her words, he could not help but roll his eyes. "So many titles. Whatever happened to a simple name? Mine's Ripper - see how easy that is?" Then again, his littermate was one who would not divulge her name to anyone. He was one of the few who knew it, though he did not share it with others. All of the hullabaloo that went with packs and their hierarchies was one of the main reasons he had never lasted under the reign of the little red wolf. Though he now worked towards becoming his sister's Seshat, he wasn't in it for the title. He did it to help his sister, to shore up their borders and ensure a future for the life they were carving out for themselves here.
