Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

EVA
'Cause every night I lie in bed the brightest colors fill my head...

She liked Summer. What wasn’t there to like? The air was only slightly warmer than she remembered it being in Spring and the flowers that had begun to bloom in the climate were simple beautiful! The small girl had taken to wandering just slightly away from the familiarity of their den to explore the little fields of grass and flowers that dotted the inner portion of the seaside pack lands. The world around her was silent as always, unable to hear the wind shifting the blades of grass or hear the birds that called endlessly closer to the shore, or even the sound of anyone else who might be nearby. It never bothered her though, how could it when she had never known any different? It had taken her a while to realize not everyone went through life like this, slowly learning some patterns of speech from her father and the two siblings who also spoke. Badar was always quiet like mother, but it was just one more thing that didn’t difficulty the young girl. They couldn’t speak, she couldn’t hear, it worked out fine.

The silence in her head was always filled with something however, today as she trotted along gathering a rather impressive bundle of flowers in her tiny jaws she hummed what was most likely a discordant tune but the girl enjoyed how it vibrated in her head. She was rounding back to her den laden with what she would use to decorate the entrance and inside when the large form of a dark wolf caught her attention just outside of it. Her head quirked to the side, rendering her slightly off balance as she dipped further and had to restep to catch her balance. Having never met a stranger Eva redirected her course, her tail wagging excitedly as the corners of her lips tried to pull back into a smile despite being so full already.

With her butt still wiggling she came to a stop between the larger paws of the dark woman she didn’t realize yet was her grandmother. She hastily dropped the pile of flowers between them, her yellow flecked eyes looking back up once more.

"Heh-lo!”

Her voice was light and cheery, though distorted by not truly knowing how the words sounded once they left her head, but her eyes were full of interest at meeting someone new.
