His gentle nicker first alerts the pale woman to his presence. It is a soft sound, deep in tenor but kind sounding none the less and she turns to give him the full attention from her silver blue eyes.

He is a hansom thing, painted in ivory and shadows. His frame is sleek but beneath the clean lines of his frame, muscles ripple with promise of power when need be.

A single dial flickers amid the mass of curling black locks of her mane as her eyes meet his. Though his greeting is friendly enough, and he stops a respectful distance away from her, giving her renewed confidence that he was not like so many others who approached with brash feral need. So many times she had seen other mares herded to new homes by stallions with gnashing teeth; it was a welcome relief to just be able to socialize and make decisions as she saw fit.

His words are warm and bring a gentle, welcoming smile to her own lips. Sleek serpentine arches as her proud head dips in response to his own greeting, inviting him closer, to stand as companions... comrades during the cool crisp fall zephyrs that blew across the yellowing grass. In the blink of an eye it seemed, fall was upon them, winter surely hot on its heels and with no home to call her own, the companionship at least that his presence offered her, made her at least appear to have a place in this world.

"Company would be a welcome reprieve." she murmurs, her lilted voice light as she blinks warmly at him, dipping her finely shaped head once more. "My name is Larka."
