Her failure to jump into flight did not burden the girl too greatly. Though at first she felt a little embarrassed that she'd messed things up, Melee's young soul had the capacity to get over such feelings quite quickly. After all, she could try again and again, and it would be fun and she'd met a new wolf that wasn't her family as well. Or at least, as far as she knew - after all, her bloodline ran deep in this pack. But back to the fact of the matter - she'd done her best to plagiarize the boy's movements, and it hadn't worked. With a giggle, she looked back up to him, wondering if he would help her do better.

Instead, he assured her that there were still heights he couldn't reach, either. Hope fluttered in Melee's heart - maybe when she was as big as him she would be able to leap so high. In the meantime, the black and cream boy slid down the side of the log and then jumped to land next to her. Popping up onto her paws, Melee's little puppy tail waved out behind her, thinking maybe he was going to give her a first hand demonstration. After all, she hadn't been right there to see it the first go around. Anticipation filled her jade eyes as she watched him lower his nose to sniff at her.

What he proposed as an alternative did nothing to diminish her excitement. Leaning down next to her, he offered his head and neck for her to climb upon. She'd ridden upon her father's shoulders in play before, and the adventuresome nature of her parents had rubbed off on her greatly. The notion to question whether she should trust this boy whose name she did not even know never crossed her mind. Melee didn't hesitate, climbing aboard as nimbly as her still somewhat pudgy puppy body would allow, eyes eagerly looking up towards the top of the log.

When he pushed her up, the height log loomed closer, and when he instructed her to she scrambled forward. Her paws slipped a little bit here and there, but her ride to the top successfully delivered her to a standing position on the dead tree. When she got her footing, Melee turned to face him and couldn't help but lick his nose in appreciation. "Thank you! This is so awesome!!" Her jade eyes went wide as she looked around from this new vantage point.
