Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

April showers bring May flowers {Sabelle}

And if all the showers turned to flowers on that rainy April day,

Braeden yawned, jaws wide, as she lifted another paw to take another step to search another land for her family. The sun was beginning to set, sitting low on the horizon and casting an ombre glow like a halo around the pearly she-wolf. Sun beams bounced off the few vermilion leaves still left on the trees, most of the foliage now laying dead and decaying on the forest floor. Braeden was amazed by the diversity of the area, though. Just a few hours before she had passed through a brilliant evergreen forest that made her feel like it was still Spring! Her mother had been right. Blossom Forest was wonderful. And while she missed the sandy shores she grew up on, and the salty mist she was used to breathing, she couldn't lie; the delicious smells of pine and sap and crisp air were addictive.

This place is growing on me...

She mused as she closed her amber eyes. Her mother always told her she had her daddy's eyes. And coat. And size. She was a pretty fae, that she knew, but she was larger than most. Her gender was often mistaken from afar, but upon closer inspection her feminine features and silky voice left no room for doubt. When she was little her mom would tell her stories of this place, of her dad. A brave, strong, gentleman. A knight in shining armor. Brae always wondered why her mom left, but never had the heart to ask until she was older. When the answers came she was a little bit shocked, a little bit betrayed, and a lot more curious than ever before. Especially when news broke that she also had a sibling. Braeden grew up thinking she was the only one, but something had always bugged her in the back of her mind. Something that made her feel like there was... just... more. Once she knew there was more out there than just a father, she was desperate to find them. To find her sister. The one thing she had always wanted! A few more months passed, albeit slowly, and Braeden worked to drag every detail from her mother. What did they look like? What did they smell like? What did they sound like? Brae was sure that her mother probably got annoyed with her on more than one occasion, but she couldn't help it. She had to know.

Eventually the nagging got to her, and her mother sat her down to talk. She told Brae all she could remember about how to get back to Blossom Forest, back to Spring Grounds. That was where she saw them last, that was their pack and home. Braeden was thrilled. She begged her mother to join her, but she didn't want to go. Didn't want to open wounds that had been closed for so long.

Braeden set off a week later with the promise to return someday.

It has been weeks since the day she stepped foot in this strange and enticing land, but still no sign of her family. It took her a while to find Spring Grounds, not quite remembering the directions correctly, but she was disheartened to find it completely different than her mother described. No magical haven with a large, beautiful oak... No. This place was destroyed. Dangerous. Braeden cried quiet tears for hours as she briskly trotted back the way she came, away from what she thought would be the end of an easy journey. Suddenly her mission had become much more complicated. Her mother had told her that Sabelle, her sister, looked very much like herself. Where Braeden took after their father, Sabelle took after their mother. So Braeden stopped every tan, brindled fae she came across. None were Sabelle. Braeden was starting to feel hopeless, and the thought of returning home to her mother with Spring Grounds' destruction as her only news put much weight on her shoulders and heart.

And so, adamant to search every inch of the land, here she now travels. She knew they had to be here somewhere. She always felt them as a pup. She always knew there was more out there than just her and Mum. Similarly, she felt them now.

Looking to her left as she emerged from an especially thick line of foliage, Braeden spotted another femme that checked every box on her checklist... and then some.

Antlers...?

She wondered, thoroughly confused and excited. She had seen a few other interesting wolves around these parts, some coming in many colors and others with scales or feathers. She stopped them politely to ask and each one had a different explanation that left her with more questions than before.

Mom never mentioned antlers... but she looks like mom. She has her eyes...

Deciding that she'd never forgive herself if this was her, her sister, Sabelle, and she blew the opportunity to finally reconnect... Brae heaved in a steadying breath and changed direction. Talking to so many let downs had dampened her confidence, but she was never one to give up. There was always room for hope. Taking a few cautious steps toward the unassuming she-wolf... she-deer?.. Braeden cleared her throat to make her presence known. Approaching with a warm smile, her head and tail low to show she meant no harm, she opened her mouth to ask,

Excuse me, miss... This may seem strange to ask, but... does your name happen to be.. Sabelle?

OOC: Sorry if this is actual garbage. I'm never good at opening posts and this is my first post in almost two years. :'D I'm so hyped for them, though! <3

would all the flowers turn to showers in the sunny month of May?
