Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

Fear Makes People Do Terrible Things

_________________________________________________________________________

Lanky stilts carried the male through the trees as he gave himself some time to ponder the recent interactions he had encountered. He never would have imagined the encounter with the vampire that he had recently undergone. If he had had it his way he would have gone his entire life without ever encountering one the night creatures, but fate had had other thoughts for him. In a way he was glad that he met Rogan. Surviving his interaction with him had proved that some rumors that trailed around about them were not true. He would have assumed to never make it out alive if he met a vampire, that they would attack and kill any other wolf that they encountered no matter the circumstance. But the opposite had happened, and here he was no wandering about. And even though time had passed since he had met Rogan, he couldn’t help continuing to think of him. It was as if he had some sort of tie to the other male, one that kept his attention hyperfocused on the brute. Was this some weird side effect of the bite that the vampire had given him? He didn’t know, but he tried to push the thoughts out of his head.

Shaking his head as if he could physically remove the thoughts, Lupin focused on where he ad wandered off to. The mountain range was before him, and he had done little exploration here so decided to continue along his path. Being careful to watch his step so he wouldn’t trip over anything on these perilous heights, he began to climb up one of the peaks. It kept his mind focused on something new, something that wasn’t Rogan and what had happened with him. But he was more aware of his surroundings than he had been before. Getting lost in thought could be dangerous, as he remembered when he literally stepped on another being because he hadn’t been paying attention. At first the stranger had been very hostile, and he was sure that she was going to attack him, but Kaiya had calmed down enough for them to have a conversation and him to explain that it was an accident. Lupin had gotten lucky with her, but he knew that others might not have been so forgiving and would have been more hostile than she had been so he was careful not to repeat that mistake again.

Brown paws continued to carry him slowly along the cliffs, knowing that one wrong step could mean his end. But he didn’t climb too high, knowing that it would be freezing if he went too high. It was not yet winter in Blossom, but there was still winter and chilling winds at the top of the mountains year round. But it was refreshing to have a cooler breeze run through his pelt, not enough to be cold but just enough for him to be comfortable. Lupin was not expecting to see any other wolves around here, so he was surprised when he caught sight of another. She was higher up than he was and seemed to be alone. Often the male would just leave others to their own devices, not wanting to risk interrupting or bothering anyone, but he was curious why this femme was out here on her own. Did she just randomly end up here as he had, or did she have more of a purpose up in these mountains? He knew that he had no right to ask about the stranger’s life, but he began to climb up a bit to be more at her level anyways. It took him some time as he was careful not to fall, some of the rocky areas giving way under his paws and he had to change his course a few times.

By the time that Lupin had managed to get to the same height as the femme he was panting and he could feel the strain in his muscles from the workout. The air was even colder up here, and for a few moments it helped to cool him down. As he padded along the mountain side, the wind remained cold and it brought a chill to the brute. Green orbs caught site of the stranger once more, and he had caught up to her a bit. She shivered in the cold wind, and once more he wondered why she was up her. ”Hello miss. Why are you up so high in these mountains? You seem cold…” The brute’s vocals tapered off, realizing that he had begun their conversation with an intrusive question. He wasn’t sure what made him think it was okay to ask, but he had and so he kept a respectful distance from her so she would know he was not a threat, but just a friendly stranger.
