News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

Tyrion

Tyrion rather liked pleasant company. It was strange to think a little more than a year ago he was still rather playing to his old ways. Maybe it was in watching Myrcella and Icarus grow that had done it, or the realization that he probably should never have been a father and it was time to be more level headed on things. He even was digging up less fruits to hide away and ferment lately too. That had been a bit of a rough time too, no alcohol. He'd been a small hermit for a few weeks over the winter with that.

Those things were neither here nor there though. Today, he was enjoying pleasant, intelligent company with Daenerys. The dwarf could not help but grin at her response. There was truth in that, for their lives certainly held far more to them to be resigned to talking about the weather. On that same token, he did not have any real intentions of talking about the weather. The weather was drab, even if it did change regularly. The golden make inclined his head in agreement. Between them, they could likely go on for days on end if they weren't careful.

"From my youth? Ah, that was quite a long time ago, I'm not so sure I remember any of it," he teased. His mis-matched eyes were thoughtful as he pondered a possible tale. Ah, this was always a good one, even without its embellishments. The extras were good for the pups, making things sound much more than they actually were, but for Daenerys, he would attempt to leave them out. "Perhaps the Dragon Queen would suit for today," he said thoughtfully.

"A much younger version of myself, if you can imagine that," he said with a wink,"Though not that much younger... Perhaps maybe 10 or 12 years ago..." yet that was much younger than now. He was creeping near to 20 years of life. "I found myself standing trial for a murder I did not commit of my rather... voracious nephew," Tyrion cleared his throat, "It was that moment that set upon my breaking from prison, courtesy of my elder brother, and being shipped off to a far away land. Out of sight and out of mind, if you will."

"But across the narrow sea in the lands of my birth, there was a young lady. Barely on the eve of her fourth year. She was a young, at the time would be, queen who sought to reclaim her birthright as she was the last of her line. Bright, albeit a bit temperamental, and without an appropriate guiding hand to seek reasonable means to an end. My comrade who helped whisk me away, apparently had even more connections than I through the realm, was able to have me seated right before her." Tyrion kept pace with Daenerys as they went.

"She was most certainly prepared to eat me alive... Or perhaps allow on of her pets do so. She was the Dragon Queen for a reason. Three very real, living, fire-breathing dragons. Perhaps it was my dashing good looks," he said with wink, "or perhaps eloquent speech, I'm still not sure to this day, but there was war at her doorstep. Those loyal to her dying, and her enemies infiltrating the ranks of those she trusted. It was demanded that if I wished to keep my head, I had best have a good idea." The thought gave him goose prickles, but he did walk out of there alive. "We went forward with a truce, let the slavers waging war keep their slaves, and release them over time just to get used to the change rather than fighting and enslaving everyone. After all, all wolves deserve to be free."

"When they did not agree, we gave the option, for my comrade had been on his way with reinforcements, to either stand down and we only kill one of them, or refuse and we kill all of them," he said, musing quietly for a moment, "I rather abhorred either idea, but only two of the three began dragon snacks, for they tried to throw the lowliest of them into the teeth... And with two of the powerful slave masters out of play, the rest were quick to fall in line. That, is roughly the abridged version, of how I found myself a Queen's adviser without burning an entire city to the ground." Tyrion certainly could have been far more detailed, but he preferred not to bore her grace with the minutia. Though she was certainly more than welcome to ask for clarifying points.
