Matianak mused at the notion of Triton not being able to lie. That wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Perhaps teaching omission might be better. Not every needed to know all the pieces. Especially if it might hurt someone he cared about. Or perhaps not, given Thor's words. Couldn't even say nice things about his mother's appearance? Ah, she would certainly be able to work on that with him. His father might not be thrilled by the notion of his boy lying, but then again, what did a little white lie hurt? Not much in the pale grey woman's mind. "Honest to fault. Though there is nothing wrong with being straightforward, especially if it gets him what he needs," she said thoughtfully.
The pale woman was not the sort to be straightforward unless it was necessary. It certainly never hurt, but Matianak liked to talk circles because it poked and prodded at angles that didn't always get looked it. It gave the possibility for someone new to be added to the story that may or may not have been pertinent.
She nodded in agreement to Triton's persistence. "Might need to get him working towards something, give him something to focus on," she added, still thoughtful. "If you are willing, I wouldn't mind teaching him a few tricks." Perhaps Matianak could show Triton how to be straightforward without being so blunt. It was difficult, as the two things often went hand in hand. Or perhaps she might help the boy be more observant. Or just add a link in her chain of possibilities to used against her sister. There were always options.
