A soft chuckle escaped her. For all the things Blackthorne was, he was good to talk to. Triton was a sweet boy, but he did not see all the plays with words she used. It made him quite malleable. Her tail twitched slightly at the tip as her brother responded. Oh how much they had grown these few years. He was not the same wolf of their youth, nor was she. There was time where all she deigned for was her father's approval. Time had changed that. Of course, she still desired to rid the world of Umbra. The world would be, in her opinion, quite better off without her littermate.
"Wise beyond your years. Though I doubt they see it that way," she said knowingly. Matianak wondered what he intended, but in time, she knew it would be made. The grey woman could see his patience wearing at the mention of the White Knight. Her smile did not wane. She merely nodded to his words. She certainly would not come between Blackthorne and the King to the... well, technically he was north of Glorall. "I doubt striking at him head on physically is how you will break him though," she mused. It tied quite well to what news she had for him.
Her ears twitched at his inquiry of her own knowledge. "Not as much as I'd prefer, but enough. Your complete opposite has an attachment in Glorall. I haven't been able to confirm the level of friendship, but it would be accurate to say his imprint resides in Glorall," she said with a grin, "A mother, no less. A man is only interested in a woman and her children unless he is her mate or her imprint. I would not be surprised if they were his. I simply haven't been able to get close enough to confirm given they are quite carefully watched over."
That was the most troubling part for her. Matianak could not confirm anything about the litter yet. They were always near someone, or someone was not very far away. Parents tended to be quite mindful of their offspring's whereabouts. She intended to learn more if she could get closer. It actually gave her an idea. Perhaps her young friend might assist with learning more about these unknown children.
