Ah! She had to be like that, didn't she? He had come wanting to see what she was all about and yet she had turned the tables onto him. Menkhet seemed to explode with energy, like a viper from its coil, and Kaliban did little more than try to idly swat her away as she chewed at his ear. He let out a small tch! of frustration when he felt her teeth take some fur away with them but he let it slide - instead, he rose to her level and followed her, simply without the same energy. Though he felt the buzz of excitement and intrigue within, outwardly he seemed much more passive than his sister. At least, for now.
He moved to her side effortlessly and with a playful sneer, he stepped in front of her, a paw lingering out in front before he stepped it into the water. The water's cold and strangeness made him pause immediately, his fur on end for a moment before he retracted his paw and stepped aside with a shrug. He moved aside as if to say it was nothing and yet, an ear twisted back towards the ocean with both curiosity and offense. He had not expected it to be so...cold. "I think it's where winter comes from," though they had yet to truly experience winter, he knew what cold was - just...not how truly cold it could be. But his mother and father had spoken of winter and how it had gone away. Was the ocean just winter waiting to come again?
He seemed to puff his chest out at his statement, impressed by himself, only to be knocked off his feet by his sister as she slammed into him. She held his scruff, and he pushed up in an effort to start walking her towards the water - then, he'd roll. If he could get her wet too, maybe she'd want to know more about the water instead of what he tasted like! It did mean he'd have to get wet...but some things were worth the sacrifice, right?
