Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

MEN SHOULD KEEP THEIR WORD,

Anxiety coursed through the male as he headed to answer the alpha’s call. It didn’t feel right to be leaving with some of the pups knowing that one was missing, but what else was he to do? Neither he nor Macaria knew where Kiora was, and she could have wandered off anywhere, gotten into any sorts of danger. Yellow orbs looked left and right as he kept his nares and auds on high alert, hoping to catch a sign of his daughter on the way to the meeting. If he didn’t find her by the time they got there or the meeting was done, he would tell Kershov and ask for help finding her. Surely she couldn’t have gotten too far…at least he hoped. After some time though the scaled brute and his three offspring entered the midst of their pack mates, seeing that they were not the only family to arrive. Athene’s impressive antlered cranium caught his attention for a moment, and their eyes met. The femme gave him a knowing look that only a mother could. Somehow she understood that there was one of his own missing, and that he was internally screaming with panic. His yellow gaze weakened for a moment, letting her see the pain and worry before he tore his gaze away, still not wanting to look weak before his pack mates.

Grey Wind didn’t think there was anyway for his day to get any worse…but he was wrong. What Kershov said and then did was a shock to say the least. Those that did not know Kershov would think him mean and scary at times, but he was not a mean wolf. Sure, he was an intimidating force to look upon, but he was not evil as some thought. The brute cocked his recently scaled head when the alpha apologized, what was he apologizing for? And Grey Wind was very surprised to hear the crime that he had committed. How could something like that have happened? It did not sound like the Kershov that he had grown to known. But what happened next shocked the male even more. The snow white male began to taint his pelt with crimson blood, sharp daggers tearing into his own flesh. A gasp of surprise escaped the brute, and he heard Missandei whimper and bury her face into his leg. What was he doing?! He glanced quickly at his paws, seeing the reactions of his pups. He and Macaria did not baby their young, but he also was not expecting them to see this much of the real world so quickly. He stood in front of Missandei, and any of the other pups who would show physical signs of distress as his daughter was. This was a brutal event for them to witness at their age, and if they weren’t ready for it then he would not force them to watch.

As Kershov went on to see who would draw second blood on him, all the male could do was stare. Sure, crimes should not go unpunished, but was all of this truly necessary? Was this not an extreme punishment? Or had Grey Wind gotten soft with parenthood. But it seemed that Athene was ready to strike, ad she did just that. Seeing another strike out to the alpha that he pledged loyalty time and time again struck a nerve, and the brute stepped forward a snarl on his features at what she had done. Was such an act justifiable when Kershov had asked for it? Honestly he wasn’t sure, but it didn’t seem right regardless. The female was obviously angry, just as he was, so why had she struck him? Confusion and anger coursed through him, what was he supposed to do in this situation? Try and get Athene to back down, or challenge her and strike against his own alpha? Neither sounded like good options. But his mind was changed as Athene spoke, addressing the pack as if it was her own. She spoke for Kershov, not against him.

The gathering was interrupted by the approach of another family. It seemed that the wolves in blossom had been quite fertile this year with all the pups that were currently a this meeting. The female who Kershov spoke of walked into the group, three pups with her as well. Were they Kershov’s? Briseis introduced the pups, but did not speak of the father, so he could not be sure. But what she did next surprised him, she offered him herbs to relieve his pain. Based on what Kershov had said, he would have assumed that Briseis would want to see him in pain, but that did not seem to be the case. He was not entirely sure of what had happened between them, but why would the male claim that certain crimes had taken place if they had not? It didn’t make sense. He could tell that Kershov was hurting from what he had done, and it was an uncharacteristic act. Blood had already been shed, and the internal pain he felt surely would heal much later than the physical wounds. Was that not punishment enough for what he had done? Unless perhaps Briseis felt that it was note enough justice. But if she was offering help, then maybe things were not as bad as they seemed.

The brute’s audettes perked when Kershov called him out by name. His words were true, if anyone hurt one of his pups, he would tear them limb from limb. So maybe he was being too soft. Finally he stepped forward, approaching Athene who had been the only one to speak up as of yet. ”Athene’s right, this is cannot continue. Kershov, you’ve already punished yourself for what you did, even if it will take you a long time to come to terms with what you’ve done.” He assumed that the king would not want to be forgiven per say, that he did not want to just forget what he had done. That much was clear from what was going on. But more bloodshed would not help. ”This pack was not built on torturing each other, and it shouldn’t be how we base our future.” Yellow orbs sought out the gaze of his alpha, hoping that he was not speaking out of turn and that what he was saying would get through the emotions that the other male was going through.
