Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Day by day, Runihura was both granted more freedoms while also taking them for himself. His siblings were acceptably safe, especially his smallest sister. Of his siblings, Bastest was smallest, so of course she needed to be kept safe. Menk and Kaliban were more than big enough to fend for themselves. Granted, he wouldn't let anyone touch them either. For all his destructive tendencies, there were just some things you didn't mess with for him.

Today was not the day to be fretting over siblings or trespassing creatures in Asteraia. The young boy was heading towards this fall festival thing that had been announced. His own pack had provided a bison skull for this little scavenger hunt. He could easily just take it back home, but bison were plentiful on the plains depending on the weather and time of year. No, when he saw what was being given as prizes, the bear belt had caught his eye. Such a large thing, and perfect for his own space in the den. Yes, he was adamant that he would get that for himself.

So, Hura shuffled about the woodlands near the gathering, actively seeking out the items in question. The pebble and pine cone were easy. He had them held rather gingerly in his mouth: a relative first for multi-hued boy. His silvered eyes were actively scouring the area for a feather, a bone, and a maple tree leaf. The last one would be pretty hard, since he wasn't all that familiar with what the different kinds of trees were. However, he found himself sneaking near the feast. There were dead birds there.

The lad set his pebble and pine cone down briefly as he plucked a turkey feather. He added it to his present findings, picked them up, and moved on to find the bone and maple leaf. The leaf was certainly frustrating. There were leaves everywhere all over the place here. How on earth was he supposed to know what a maple leaf looked like? Hura grumbled angrily as he prowled, hunting a bone of any kind, and this elusive 'maple leaf'.
