Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

shem
take apart your head

Normally he might have recoiled from her silence, or at least have silently accused her of passing judgement or some other slight. Yet, he felt almost...comfortable with her eyes on him, unbothered by her quietness if only because it gave him time to really observe her too. She was...pretty. Had he ever thought that? She had an energy behind her eyes that he hadn't seen before. Then again, he couldn't even be sure if he had seen that particular colour even. Had he? He didn't know. Suddenly he could only associate that particular shade of white with her - not snow, or clouds, or even flowers but rather just her. It was strange...he couldn't even fathom an explanation.

He couldn't help but smirk at her awkward nature - it was quaint, charming in its own way even though that lack of confidence itched away beneath his skin. Oh, but for her it was fine. "If I played dead next to you, it might not seem so strange at least, huh?" Why'd he say that? He practically grimaced at himself. Cringed a little, even. Surely he wasn't as awkward as her by nature, right?

So glad, then, he was when she took the food so eagerly, even if his own stomach gave a sympathetic rumble. Maybe eating would distract her from how weird he was being - maybe, or maybe not. It was a challenge in itself to even take his eyes off her even as she seemed to squirm with her own embarrassment. "Uh, yeah. I guess I'm pretty hungry. But not for the normal parts - I like the...tougher bits." What? Nobody liked the tougher bits so why would he like it for her? He was already tired of even trying to stop the words that came out though. "Tikal, huh? I'm Shem." At least he could feel cooler introducing himself with a little shrug of 'whatever.'

Even then, he was only going to take a little of the meat - just the parts close to the bones, maybe even the bones themselves. She could have the rest. She...needed it more, right? Yeah, he was doing it because she needed it. It would look really bad if a wolf of his father's died, right? There'd be questions, investigations. That kind of thing. "So, did you come here alone?" Why the hell did his mouth keep getting in the way of things?!

I don't mind you under my skin
