Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Sera was absolutely convinced that nothing could be more irritating than finding the other half of your soul only to have him spirited away in the night. She’d never been more frustrated about her inability to hear that she had been over the past year. Unless she managed to catch his scent, her imprint could be several yards away, calling for her and she’d never even know. She’d looked and searched and scoured the freelands but by the time she’d gone to Glorall and came back to where she’d last seen him, the rains had washed away any trail she might follow.

Just when she’d given up on her stubborn search for her brother, she’d been thrust into another search. As far as she was concerned, though their time together had been short, her imprint belonged with her every bit as much as Haziel or anyone else she held dear. Thirteen years she’d spent on this earth, well fourteen now she supposed, and she’d finally been rewarded with the other half of her soul. There was no way in hell she was giving up on finding him. Still, her frustration was at an alltime high as was her feeling of hopelessness. Throwing her head back at the edge of the fields, fields she’d searched more than once for any sign of her imprint, Sera let loose a toneless cry of longing.

Having thought of little more than finding the wolf whose name she wasn’t even sure of, Sera had left little time for anything else. If she ate she didn’t recall it. Everything seemed duller somehow. Food was like sawdust in her mouth and things she normally took delight in like chasing the silly black birds in the fields to watch them dance in the sky didn’t get so much as a glance. Still, she was determined and perhaps conceited enough to believe that she would find him if she tried hard enough. She was an angel; a fallen one perhaps, but she would do what she set out to do.
