His gentle gaze turned awestruck as she mocked his compliment on her beauty.
”You couldn’t handle the best that I’ve got in my arsenal, my dear,” he purrs back in a taunt with a wicked glimmer in his eyes.
”Besides… I’m only speaking truth,” he adds with a matter-of-fact tone.
”If you could see yourself right now you would agree. The sunset is doing wonders on your fur,” he continues to fatten up her ego with his generous words. They weren’t false in any sense and what was the harm of making a pretty girl like her feel good about herself?
Her sigh, smooth and gentle as it was, nearly had him collapsing at her paws. She was ethereal in his eyes; as striking and exotic as she was soft and delicate. But she was quick to move the conversation forward, much to his dismay.
”You are right in assuming so, Zarah,” he speaks her name and it feels foreign on his tongue. The newness of it was exciting, the sound of it from his voice made it even more unusual. She throws a compliment back to him as she questions where he intend on going, the velvety tones of her voice like music to his ears.
”You know… I suddenly can’t remember anymore,” he smirks as he eyes her with a slight lustful intent in his molten eyes. He dares to take a step closer, testing her limit, another step, and another. He will only come as close as she will allow but that doesn’t mean he won’t push his luck. His tail wags slowly at his haunches as his interest in her becomes clear as day. Surely, she can’t fight this feeling too.
