The Shame of Miami Posted on December 6, 2018 at 10:26:04 AM by sheffwed
You know, the play hasn't been bad at all (here in CT video is easily available on MyWinners and at all venues) - the "amateurs" have upped their game, and its great to see Aritz back in action, but the pros are clearly demoralized/going through the motions for now.
Given the change in ownership, would be nice if the new owners stepped up their game even a little if they have any plan to ramp up Jai Alai at all in 2019 - create some sort of championship, do something, anything.
The payoffs haven't been terrible either given 6 player games, surprised the betting is so low on trifectas and on Win betting - again a little bit of something (Pick 4?) would help generate interest for 2019 - hope something a bit more modern on betting is planned
And I still think in general Jai Alai would benefit from a partnership with Betfair, allowing betting mid games, on a per point basis, etc. - that really should be investigated and invested in
Great to see action once again from the old venue, but it is a Shame that even MC is more bettable and frankly more interesting as well even if not real Jai Alai, MC deserves credit for trying, Miami is going through the motions
Speaking of going through the motions, don't get me started on that old announcer, yeesh Replies:
