Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Perhaps there is such a thing as sleeping too much. When Sans woke up from his nap, there was snow on the ground. When had winter come? He hadn't felt the cold, of course, his fur and extra pudge probably helped keep out any chill that crept into the den. Yawning, the pup stretched and felt his bones give a satisfying pop as he bent his back. Giving a final, lazy shake, he crawled out of the den and took a deep breath in. Pawsteps in the snow told him his siblings and parents had already started their daily tasks around the pack. Having already grown used to him sleeping well past noon, they hadn't even bothered waking him up. Welp, he best get to his own routine. With that, he promptly turned and left Spirane.

Sans had been exploring more and more of Moladion as he grew. Vayrus had already dragged him around the majority of the mountain pack. There were only so many things you could see. There was a lot more outside of the pack and he needed to understand it. His ventures were done in secret, unsure if Vayrus was ready to follow him yet or if his parents wanted him to explore. Still, the tall trees that made up the woodlands didn't seem all bad and Sans found himself feeling safe within the shadows. The snow here wasn't nearly as deep as it was on the mountaintops and he found moving between the trunks was relatively easier than the steep cliffs.

Suddenly, a loud bark cut into the child's thoughts. At once, the boy couched low and sniffed the air. Sure enough, the scent of another wolf announced he was not alone in this area. Carefully, he moved towards the sound and found him moments later. Quickly, his one good eye began to assess the scene before him. It was clear this wolf was a loner. He was a mess and had no traces of any pack scent clinging to his fur. He was also injured and weak, both from lack of food and hard travel. All in all, this wolf didn't seem much of a threat and there was no point in reporting him to the alphas of Spirane.

Moving out from behind the bush he had been hiding, Sans trotted closer to the newcomer. While still keeping a safe distance, he offered a smile before sitting on his haunches. "You look like you've been through a lot. What's your name, pal? Mine's Sans."
