The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Shadowstorm

After the death of Enderly I had felt a sort of disconnect with my life. The dark of night was no longer a fun place to wander around in. At every corner I thought I saw him - that silver fur of my brother or the darker one of my niece. How weird is it to have a niece bigger than me? I expected them to come back, to finish me so I couldn't talk about what they had done to my father. Which is why I had talked A LOT about it after the fact to make sure everyone knew good and well what had happened so if someone fitting their descriptions came after me we all knew what was up. Didn't make it any easier though.

Last spring I had grown frustrated. The feeling of wanderlust had crept along my thin legs and I was eager to stretch them. I had told my other parents where I was going - back to the pack who I had traveled with when me and Enderly went on my 'walkabout'. For two seasons I stayed with them, trained, fought, even found a girl I rather liked until she took a mate. So much for that. When the pack began to head southward for a warmer climate is when I decided it was time to return to Molodian. Maybe back to Diveen where I could woo the pretty Azariah and become her Alpha - had it really been a year since I had asked her? Ha, I had learned a thing or two about smooth talking since then.

Still, before I went back to Diveen, I had decided I wanted to find my other brother again. The weird one, not the murderer. Or... at least... I didn't know IF he was a murderer. The very thought made me frown and squirm from time to time as I searched for him. I couldn't rightly remember his scent. His looks were pretty standard. Black. Did anyone want to take a guess at how many black wolves were in Molodian? Yeah, a lot. So it is no wonder I was having a hard time locating him. It was only made worse by the frequent snows that covered up every available space and left me shivering.

So I began to wander to random places and howl, hoping for a response. In fact, I got plenty but none of them who I wanted, so I began to ask about. Have you seen a Loki? No? Well if you spot a black wolf and find out their name is Loki tell him that Shadowstorm is looking for him. Okay? Thanks! So on and so on. I also made sure to leave my scent EVERYWHERE. Now it was time to hunker down in the grotto and wait. So wait I did... for how long... well, guess we will see how much patience I have.
