Nobody was safe? The thought gave Kweku a moment of pause. What an interesting thing to want to show them, or rather, prove to them. Then again, and he gave a little shrug of acceptance, the Pharaoh was very invested in the idea of doing just that at times. Nowhere was entirely safe unless she deemed it as such. He did have to admit he had noticed that not a single wolf had been taken from Asteraia and their borders had not been breeched either. So, whatever she and Cuirass were doing seemed to be working. Good, he thought, because it meant his children (well, most of them) were in the safest place.
He was going to bring up the topic again but Cuirass' laughter made his ears shoot up as he gave a snort - was it that funny? Only one night of effort? "Then you should know it takes more than one night of effort," he rebutted. All the feeding, the guarding, the patrolling...there was so much just to give them the chance to grow big enough to do all those things themselves. "Did yours hunt for you? I told one son to protect the pack from small game, birds and crabs. He brings them to me, I tell him he protected the pack, and then I eat." He was fairly proud of that, and he thought Cuirass might be one of the few others to find the idea of teaching a child that amusing. Even Kweku had just enough wits about him to know not to admit it to the Pharaoh but he had been looking forward to sharing his success with somebody at least. Cuirass seemed like the type. Hell, he had taught a stranger how to be a cannibal...Kweku had the impression that he didn't really care for 'honor' or any of those concepts.
"Call me Kweku," he said between a yawn and a sigh, really emphasising his relaxation as Cuirass took a seat, "And call for me next time you bring somebody here. I'll help you muzzle them." He gave him a toothy grin, and flexed back with a bit of challenge as he rolled a broad shoulder. "I want to have some fun sometimes. Patrolling gets boring, don't you think?" He raised a brow, hoping Cuirass already had something in mind despite...well, being woken up so soon from his little rest. After all, Kweku had fast learned that the wolves of Asteraia didn't take too kindly to failure and with Kalseru and the other having escaped, he doubted he'd be bored for long if he stuck to Cuirass.
