Nymeria made it easy for her to shake off her uncertainty. For whatever reason, she had to wonder why she hadn't expected that level of warmth from Spirane's alpha. She had already met Viserion who had always been kind, and even Sleekwing had a rare honor about him. Nobody ever discussed Danaerys being cold or withdrawn, and nobody ever spoke of fearing Spirane...Where had her uncertainty come from? Orion, she knew. Yet it had always been difficult to really acknowledge that. The circumstances around him made her unsure and the slightest ghost of guilt still haunted her over leaving Diveen. But she was glad: Nymeria made it easy to feel more comfortable with that decision too. She welcomed Yuki warmly and earnestly, and the woman had decided right then and there that she had made a good decision regarding her future.

It was likely Nymeria would be able to spot that moment of assurance for Yuki practically gave a stout nod of resolve to herself. Besides, Diveen and Spirane were allies and her father had spoken of being close to their former queen. She wouldn't miss out of anything - she was just opening new paths on which to walk. And so she practically grinned from ear to ear when Nymeria spoke of an open rank, her tail picking up its pace into a near frantic wave before she calmed herself. "Of course! That is exactly the kind of role that I'm interested in! Though I must admit, I've not done much caretaking in the past, not directly at least. I've watched my father heal and my mother help with raising children but...I have no doubt I can learn it all!" Besides, what better way to learn than to actively listen to seek those very stories? Already, she was listing off wolves in her mind to build knowledge from: she'd start in Spirane, of course, and she'd find caretaking secrets from Sleekwing, Danaerys, whoever their lead healer was, and then she'd find mothers come spring to learn from them too. They'd all have stories to tell as well, which means she'd be taking out two birds with one hunt...

She was getting ahead of herself. She gave a sheepish grin, having clearly been stuck in excited internal monologue for a moment."I'm happy to do whatever I must to gain full trust of your other pack members, as well. Do you mind if I ask...What are the wolves in your upper ranks like? Appeasing them would surely be a good step forward, I think." In typical Yuki fashion, she dove right into the meat of it.
