Sometimes Mohegan forgets that there’s more going on than he can hear. Everything sounding dulled and blurred, that was just… normal. That, coupled with the sound of the rain pattering down on the new leaves, he had no idea he was being chased. The thrum of his own paws on soft earth, his head high, gait steady. Mohegan is fast enough, like he’s built for it. He is built for it. Though light, he has strong legs. They have done him well so far, and they will continue to do well.

It’s only just in time that he sees her. She’s leapt out like she’s going to attack him-- holy shit, she’s trying to attack him. In the moment, Mohegan realizes that she’s bigger than he is. He nearly dodges snapping teeth, only to find them catch his paw. The pain is immense, and he flinches… “What the fuck?” Before he can react, before he can grab out in retaliation, she dances way. Mohegan stops, now, and takes a look at the creature.

“Honestly, what the fuck?” Mohegan won’t fuel her actions. No, his reaction to her is cool, curious, and a little frustrated. Who on earth walks up to a stranger and acts like they’re going to fuck them up? Really, the look on the man’s face reads loud and clear-- whatever her angle is, he’s over it.
