live life to the fullest

It was even scarier to touch the water after she'd been staring at it in fear for weeks now. Persephone was patient with her though, gently enouraging her and stepping in first to show her that it didn't hurt. She watched with wide eyes and flaring nostrils as Persephone walked around in the water. Some splashed on her own legs and she trembled like she'd just been bit, a rattling snort sounding as she jumped back, ears pinned as if to fight off a predator. She pawed at the ground, definitely shaken but Persephone only waited for her until she calmed down. Slowly Creed reached out her nose to the water, drawing back when she first touched it but then she reached out, touching it again. The waves were calm here but she was still scared, the whites of her eyes rolling as she searched Persophone for calm.

After a while, she slowly stepping into the water, one leg at a time. When nothing happened, she grew bolder, but as the first wave washed in, hitting her stomach, she jumped and raced to Persephone's side, pressing against her for comfort. Persephone was gentle and kind, taking her time in crossing to her own herd lands. Creed was curious to see them but wished they would just build a bridge of some kind so she wouldn't have to do this every time. Luckily, Persephone kept to the shallow waters so it didn't look so dark beneath her hooves but she still felt like she was on eggshells. When seaweed touched her leg, she screamed and pressed against Persephone, waiting for the blood to rise in the water but when none did, she grew calmer.

Finally, she felt her hooves touching land and she breathed a sigh of relief. She glanced at Persephone, silently thanking her for her support. When Persephone asked how the trip was, Creed let out another rattling snort before giving a sheepish smile. "Well, nothing ate me so I guess that's a start." She was quick to get out of the water now that she could, though, flinging her tail as she shook out her coat with another snort. Only then did she take a minute to look around. She gasped in wonder. "It's....beautiful here, Persephone."
