Thackery’s cold words smacked into her like a ton of bricks. He didn’t want her here, and then the accusation of something like death turning her on. She didn’t know what to say to him, but one thing that she could tell was that something had happened to him to make him become this way. She knew if he continued down this path something bad would happen to him and she couldn’t let that happen, but before she knew what to say to stop him from hurting the young ones in front of him, a scream came from the little girl. She called out her name and Tesa froze once again.

Thacks needed blood to be able to survive, she couldn’t ask him to not feed, she couldn’t ask him not to do what he needed to do. Both the young wolves still had much life to live. They both had so much that they could have done. Yet, she didn’t have the heart to tell her companion to stop. She stepped forward and looked down at the small bodies. The size she once was not to long ago, her eyes drifted over their still forms and her heart began to break slightly. They probably had brothers and sisters that would mourn them, just as she mourned her brother and sister. Her eyes finally traveled to the vampire that stood near her. The scent of a fresh kill wafting around them.

”Thackery… I know you have to feed to survive, but I also know vampires don’t have to kill to get what they need. You.. you can always feed off of me. I’m not so little anymore. I’m not skin and bones I won’t break easily. Let’s get away from here. There will be wolves out for you now since you’ve killed such young wolves… I… I will try to keep you as safe as possible. You know I don’t care if we have to spend the rest of my meaningless life on the run.”

Her words were soft as she got close to him. He he didn’t snap at her, she would gently press her nose to his neck before backing up slightly. Looking down at the small wolves once again she let out a sigh, a slight pain boiling in her head trying to figure out where to go from here, how to hide a vampire in a world full of creatures that either tempt them, or want to kill them. This was going to be her hardest task since she lost her sister and her tiny body had to dig a hole to hide her and the pups in so other scavengers or wolves wouldn’t eat them. She thought maybe she should do the same for these pups, or at least return them to the packs they belong in. She had never entered a pack here in this world, she honestly didn’t know where to take these pups even if they had a packs that would miss them. Finally she just decided to leave them in this tiny cave.

”Thackery, can we please leave this place?”
