At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

Monster, what do I hear? Creatures lie here, scrawling through the window.

When help finally came to him, he felt sweet relief. ”Thank you so much! he called out before she got to him. She was sweet and gentle while moving his head to get out of the branches, his leg, on the other hand, was going to be a tougher matter, to say the least. He whimpered before holding his breath as she talked about having to pull out his leg and it going to hurt.

It was already hurting, the pain was radiating up his little leg and every movement was just increasing the pain inside of him. He tried his best to not growl at the small female. Unlike him, she looked like a normal wolf, like his mother and his little sister. Even though he is the youngest, she’s smaller than him. The small female before him though finally ripped his leg out from the place it had gotten stuck and he yelped loudly and felt a little light headed. Which was hard for the small brute to feel since he had to live with the weight of his horns.

They were tiny currently, but he knew that as he would grow, so would they. He looked up at the small lass from the ground as he attempted to get up off the ground. The pain in his back leg continued to radiate even though his leg was freed. He couldn’t put pressure on it and small whimpers left him as he tried to stand on all fours. Finally, he decided to just hold his leg up against him.

”So…I’m Ellie. Who are you? Are you okay? I like your horns and hooves!” He blinked at her and blushed slightly, though it was hidden behind his dark coat. ”I… I’m Brynjar, my mother calls me Bryn. You.. you like my horns? A..an..and my hooves?” He stuttered out feeling embarrassed. No one had ever told him they liked the way he looked. Mainly his mother telling him how messed up he and his brothers were. She wasn’t really a nice wolf, this Ellie seemed nice and he hoped she wouldn’t run away from him just yet. ”My leg is really hurt. If you could help me get to the waterfall, maybe soaking it in some water will make it feel better?”

He looked down at the ground thinking of how whimpy he sounded. She’d probably laugh at him and call him names for not being a big strong male like others. That would really suck He thought to himself and peaked up at her with his eyes of crystal blue and grey.
