The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Make the flowers bloom faster?Really, he couldn't help but look up at them again with a sneer, as if their very laziness to do so was abhorrent. But really, he just was annoyed that he wasn't actually able to do anything, and that such a request was...well, frankly impossible! She had to know that, and then she started to laugh and stare all the same. Was it so funny for him to look annoyed? He huffed, but he didn't look at her at first; instead, he continued to glare at the flowers. They'd been the ones to lead her there and thus, by extension, had kind of lead him there which meant they were to blame for her laughing at him and him being filthy. With a tch of dismissal, he shrugged and turned away from the flowers with a smirk. "These flowers? No way, even if I could. The flowers in Taviora are much more deserving - you should see them." Smooth, he thought, and truly a flawless way to convince her to visit Taviora rather than these kinds of places.

She was still staring though. He peered at her, as if reluctant at first, but then he simply gave in and met her eyes completely. It wasn't that bad being stared at by her - even if she had been laughing at him. At least she wasn't pushing him away or trying to disappear. But why did she have to be so...carefree? She was so...unashamedly loud and there. Sure, she had that kind of nervous energy that made him think she didn't want to be so seen but she just couldn't help it - it was like she attracted sunlight itself. In that moment, it made him suddenly very aware of just how easy it would be for her to be taken like Moteuh had been. It made him bite down on his own teeth, his face suddenly intense but - and he couldn't believe he was admitting he was thankful for it - she broke his mood immediately when she spoke up.

"Huh?" From intense to dazed in a second, his response instinctive even though he had heard what she had said. He shook his head. Well, of course he knew she was from Glorall but...she wanted to be in the ranks? For a wolf like their father? It wasn't to say he had any particular issues with Eden but...still! "He didn't make you do anything...strange to get that rank did he?" He asked flatly, his eyes narrowed for a moment. Surely even his father would see she wasn't really the type of wolf to do something sneaky or even remotely on the cusp of 'morally ambigious'...or was she?

He shook his head. "No, I didn't mean that in a bad way, okay? I think it's good to have a rank like that. I just...you know, it isn't good to be too busy all the time." He shrugged, look aside, tried his hardest to look casual about it all. Ah, but really it made him realize he should probably put in some more effort too - if he became Taviora's Trust or something, he'd be busy but it'd also give him more rights to...well, do more. He'd probably be better trained to keep Tikal safe too, and it'd give him full rights to welcome her into Taviora...He just hoped she didn't notice him looking so thoughtful. He didn't want her to laugh at him again!
