Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

i have found so much beauty in the dark..

It was difficult to say no to the celestial abyss that she now drifted down into. Her mauve toned eyes were closed in ethereal bliss as she let the darkness pull her down. How lovely it must be to be a star, she thought. Perched so high in the darkest parts of the heavens, dancing across the sky to give the mere mortals a twinkle of hope for things to come.

She is at peace in these moments as she slowly floats down.

Until the crashing of water jars her ears and she expels a gasp of air, the bubbles rising swiftly to the surface. Her eyes open and from above she sees a shadowy figure coming down toward her. Her legs flail as she tries to get away from the shadow, but she does nothing other than tire herself. It is now that her conscious mind realizes how long she has been without a breath and her jaws open in panic, inhaling a small bit of water before closing again.

Her eyes widened as the shadowed one was finally close enough to reach her and when their jaws reached out to grasp at her neck she saw… herself. Their eyes, their fur, their face… it was all her. They looked ravenous, bloodthirsty, and ready for the kill. Myrria tried to push away from them but she was out of air, her lungs felt like they were going to burst, and she could choose between drowning or dying by another’s teeth.

There was no way in hell that she would let someone else take her life - that was for her to decide.

She closed her eyes tight and finally gave in to the urge to inhale, immediately choking on the water that flowed into her lungs. The touch of the shadow’s teeth around her scruff was distant as she faded in and out of consciousness and her body was dragged to the surface.

Her lifeless body was pulled from the water and her breaths were so weak that they were barely even there. But as Lucia dropped her to the earth, the small force was enough to expel a little of the water back up her throat. Myrria began hacking and heaving violently as instinct took over to preserve her life. She choked up enough water to finally be able to breathe again as Lucia’s voice faded into her consciousness.

Myrria’s eyes rolled in their sockets as she tried to right herself despite the dizziness in her head, pushing upward with her two front paws to be able to stand upright among the rocks. Her legs trembled as she put weight on them and her head swung drunkenly to and fro as she looked for Lucia. ”Lu...cia?” she stammered quietly as her eyes finally fell on her sister’s soaking wet form. Yes, it was Lucia this time, not herself as she had seen in the water.
