Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

" I'LL TELL YOU WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BURN
She stretches in a languid manner, her scarred fiery-hued legs reaching their limit as her nails grasp and rake along the ground. Her face, once so perfect and untouched, is embellished with battle marks that glisten black against her auburn coat. She used to hate those scars. She once thought them to be defects that diminished her appeal, but now she finds strength in them. They are proof that she has conquered all odds and bested the fate that was thrusted upon her.

She had grabbed that fate by its neck with hungry jaws and dared to never let go. She forged her own future from the severed remains of destiny’s corpse and left a trail of bloody prints for any who were dauntless enough to follow.

And now she was here.

The summer heat had driven her to become stagnant and anchored to the shade of a magnificent oak tree for most of the day, but as the sun began to set and the temperature dropped, she felt herself come alive once again. Her body moved in one smooth motion as she lifted up from her stretched posture and shook herself off. The warm tones of the summer sunset illuminated the reds of her coat, stoking their flames. A wide-mouthed yawn fully displayed her deadly arsenal, with a jagged half-broken lower canine glinting in the orange light.

The woodland is the most secure and foreboding place that she knows of in her short time here. Few dare to enter its depths alone with darkness approaching quickly, and yet she still feels the spine-chilling sensation of someone’s eyes on her. She glances to the side without moving her head, her pupils constricting in the glowing light. She couldn’t see them, oh, but they were there all the same. She clicks her teeth together purposefully as she closes her jaws and steps into a gliding saunter on never-ending legs.

Her path winds through the trees until they become tighter around her, their roots interwoven and boughs creaking against each other above. A summer wind sets them into a light cacophony as she dances between their trunks, the dying light of the sun fading into the dim gray of the coming night. She dips behind a large cluster of vegetation only to emerge after her onlooker has slipped by unassumingly.

”Find what you’re looking for?” She grins balefully as she finally lays her icy blues on her hunter.
