me too!

Great idea Katie!

I'm 29, turning 30 in October (which I am super nervous about! I still don't feel like a grown up!). I was born and raised and raised in the Midwest, but moved to the UK when I was 14 and now live in Scotland with my boyfriend of 10 years. I love living in Scotland and never want to move back to the US. I still have an American accent but it is definitely softer now! We have a 1-year-old cat whom we adopted last year after we tragically lost our previous cat to a long, hard battle with cancer. He is white with amber eyes, and was born completely deaf, yet he is the noisiest boy! His name is Luan, which is Scottish Gaelic for 'moon', which we landed on for his color but also for the fact that the day we adopted him was the day of a blood super moon.

I struggle with several mental health issues and have done for a long time, which can affect my ability to post sometimes, but I'm trying to get past this, because I love posting so much and have RPed since I was 11. I can't imagine my life without it and have met some of my best friends here. Work-wise I made the very wise decision a few years ago to become self-employed, which has been the biggest help for my mental health. I now work part-time from home as an artist (I mainly do pet portraits but would love to expand into other things), and I am also writing my first novel on the side and would love to be published some day.

I have not ridden a horse in several years, but once money is a bit more stable I would love to get back into it. We owned a chestnut Hanoverian mare called Du Tonnerre when I was a kid, whom we got basically for free despite the fact she was from the line of a beautiful, quality stud called Diamant, because she was blind in one eye. We unfortunately had to give her up after not very long because of money issues. I believe she went on to become a brood mare in somewhere like Florida. I took horseriding lessons for several years once we moved to the UK and have gone on the occasional hack (UK term for a ride) since then. I am also a huge color genetics nerd! Feel free to ask me all the questions on horse colors because I love talking about it! Lol.
