He had only two residents in the Lagoon left and no woman. He tried to be proactive to restart the bachelors by coming to the commons and claiming a mare to get their testosterone flowing, but the mare escaped him. He now attempted to fight for a mare for the same purpose, but that wasn't the only issue his bachelors had. There was too few of them and he needed more recruits. The Lagoon would have to be strong because who knew when the Peak might try to strike.
He hoped the mares of the Peak were having the same troubles with numbers as the bachelors. The islands have just seemed to dwindle in life these last three years of his rule. The palomino reached the commons with eyes rapidly scanning the surrounding area. Blues quickly fell on the blue roan grazing alone. A young stallion was exactly what his bachelors needed to regrow the Lagoon. Young bachelors were full of testosterone and usually produced the most foals. He maybe even bring a few colts into the world that could join their ranks in the future. The next generation of stallions was exactly what he was looking for.
Cullen approaches with a relaxed posture and a nicker to alert the stallion he was approaching. He didn't want to scare the stallion away or start a fight. Of course, when dealing with stallions a fight almost always occurred at some point. He was used to that being the leader of a bunch of rouge stallions.
"It is good to see the nice weather has brought some life to the commons." He stops a handful of steps away from the stallion to avoid invading his space.
"My name is Cullen, Leader of the bachelors in the Lagoon." Maybe his introduction would be enough to interest this stallion.
