Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

I am Magnolia.
She didn't know how she managed to get in control. She was eager not to be in control lately, hiding back in the corner and content to let the others fight it out. Bandit had been out not too long ago and she was afraid of what he might have accomplished. He looked far too pleased with himself and it sent chills up her spine. Diesel and Orb were suspicious of him as well but he wasn't about to talk. If he'd managed to get to some poor defenseless pup and kidnap her, he wasn't about to give it up and risk someone setting her free.
Mags couldn't let herself think like that, though. It would drive her crazy if she worried about it. He liked to keep them on their toes so it would be just like him to have them thinking he did something just to drive them crazy. She was determined not to let him win.
"THAT'S THE SPIRIT, MAGGIE!"
Kyra cheered her on, which managed to make a small smile erupt on Mags' lips. The child was the only one who called her Maggie but she was okay with that. She wasn't about to correct someone as kind hearted and carefree as Kyra.
She tip toed along the riverbank, her whole body tense. She usually avoided interaction with other wolves like the plague and today was no different. She only wanted to make it to safety somewhere until she got tired enough to sleep and let someone else take control. She didn't want the control. Her stomach rumbled in hunger but she ignored it, knowing she wasn't about to hunt. She didn't have it in her to hurt something, even prey that would nourish her body. She couldn't harm another being.
"STOP BEING SO WEAK, MIJA. JUST KILL SOMETHING ALREADY. I'M STARVING!"
Mags scowled at Bandit's complaining, knowing he wasn't using the pet name out of affection but rather to insult her and call her puny as a child. She knew she was pathetic already. She didn't need him to tell her that. Her ears pinned to her skull in distaste but she kept walking.
"LEAVE HER ALONE, BANDIT."
Diesel's halfhearted defense of her got her attention more than Bandit's words did, if only cause they weren't as strong and final as was usual. That just meant Diesel was hungry too, but he wasn't about to hassle Mags cause he knew how she was. He would just carry the hunger in silence because that's how he was. She sighed as she stopped to rest under a tree, pushing against it to help shelter her from some of the cold wind. It brought a chill to her skin and made her shiver. Winter was coming and she wasn't happy about it.
