Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

The world seemed like it was slowly rotating around her. Diveen had been pretty quiet of late, so she'd spent more time exploring the caverns under the plateaus that her ancestors used to use. She liked to think she could still feel Pompeii's presence in here, along with her mother Vega and the rest of her family. She still ached for the death of her sister Paravana and she would not stop wanting to know what happened. Who kept her sister from her family? Who killed her? The need for vengeance burned in her like a candle that would never be put out, not until she found justice.

Her children kept her distracted for the most part but they were going off on their own, doing their own thing now. They were still children but hell, they'd always be her babies in her own mind. She hadn't seen the charming male who helped her create them again but there was a day that Cass and Lailah came back oddly smelling like him. They said they met a large male wolf. Cass seemed to like him but Lailah didn't look impressed. She'd wondered for a while if it was him. She didn't even know his name. None of it was important at the time but she'd be lying if she didn't say she didn't wonder after the fact.

Speaking of children, she'd noticed that Cass had wandered off on his own. Shaking her head, she followed his tracks but she got worried when his tracks didn't stop at the borders. He went into the free lands? Alone? Her heart skipped a beat. He was still a pup. He would be vulnerable. She couldn't risk that he might come across a good wolf who keeps him company and escorts him back. She wouldn't lose someone else like that. She wouldn't be left wondering what happened and hating herself for not doing something. She needed to find him. So she made her way over the borders and into the free lands. She found herself in the fields first by the lake. His tracks went on but she stopped to take a drink.

The water was soothing on her tongue but it didn't help her frazzled nerves.
