The stallion notices them and she swallows hard. Prayers mumbled under her breath, she did the motherly thing and move her child behind her. Desiree hoped these horses were friendly, but if they weren't she would fight. She would always fight for freedom and herself and Libra. She was a natural born leader, a former lead mare, so her mind was always telling her to be independent. If they were friendly she wouldn't mind the company. A year was a long time to be alone with only your child.
She had never seen a Fjord before so she admired the differences between herself and the strangers. The two in front were unique in body, but the quiet mare in back looked like an average mix she usually saw around. Her coat was pretty though. Her eyes fixed on the stallion as he stops in front of her. She guesses the mare that sticks to his side was his lead. That was what leads usually did anyway. Everyone is silent save for the stallion in charge.
"Nice to meet you Liland. I am Desirie and my daughter is called Libra. I hope your charge over the Desert is a good thing. This place has been empty for some time now." She never quite relaxes, but she does not get any hostile vibes from their little herd. "I have lived in the Dunes for the past few years, but my lover passed away a year ago. We have been living here by ourselves since in hope that a good family might move in and bring us company." Her eyes roam out to the desert as she thinks. Capricorn would have openly welcomed this group and so should she. Friends until proven otherwise.
