Liland was never far when she needs him. Sabela felt safe in his care and warm to his touch. She smiles when she sees the stallion rushing over to enjoy this moment of their daughter's birth. His muzzle extends to her and she returns the gesture by touching her soft nose to his own. She pulls away to gaze at their foal when Liland speaks. No matter how bad she wanted to name a child she would never be able to. The name of their filly was up to Liland alone, but thankfully he picks a name she likes. She smiles and nods her head in approval of the name Rayna.

She nudges the filly softly with her nose as she nurses under her. Rayna was quite beautiful and Sabela knew she would grow into a striking young mare many would seek. She worried what might become of her daughter later on in life, but as long as Liland was around she knew he would protect her. The next words that came out of Liland's mouth shocked her. Rayna was his firstborn of his new herd and he had plans to teach her the ways of leading a herd. She severely hoped her daughter hadn't gained her lack of voice to complete this journey in the future.

She felt the filly stop suckling and pull away from her warmth. The look that exchanges between father and daughter was such a precious moment. Sabela had yearned for this moment when she birthed Ysabel. She knew Zevulun loved his foals and he would have been ecstatic to meet her. If Warsaw hadn't driven that family away or kept Ysabel from her then maybe...it was hard to tell what would have happened. She would have to worry about Ysabel's life later and focus on Rayna for now.

The filly was so new and fragile she would need her mother more than her grown daughter did. Some day she might reunite with Ysabel, but sadly there would be no way for her to explain everything.
