sent from the heavens above...

He had noticed sets of eyes following him and his little family around the island but since he was the only stallion around, save Rougaru, he expected it was because they didn't know why he was allowed to stay. Most stallions would have run him off by now. He, himself, had to wonder at Rougaru's tolerance. Could Solaris really mean that much to her father? Doesn't Galexia mean as much to you?" He snorted at the question and shook his head. "Of course, she does. I would do anything for her." He still couldn't believe how quickly he'd fallen for the little filly. She was perfect in every way. A particular older mare had been watching them more and more as they moved around the island but Angel didn't think too much of it. That is, until she decided to approach him when he was alone.

Scared of a mare? How quaint. He scowled as he turned to watch the mare approach. She had a smirk on her lips and the way she looked him over....he was sure it wasn't in the instant approval Solaris had given him. There was something much colder in this mare. Maybe it was because she was older and wiser. Maybe it was the way she was raised. Angel noted the colt at her side and his ears flicked back and forth in uncertainty. Didn't he see that same colt with another mare on the island when they first got here? Had something happened to her? He wanted to soften to the mare instantly, thinking her a good samaritan for taking in the colt when the mother couldn't care for him. Obviously, that must have been what happened, right? Her first question made him pause though, ears flicking back in discomfort as he arched his neck and pawed the ground, his gaze moving to the sand at his hooves.

Her daughter? So Solaris was related to her. Why hadn't she approached them as a family? There must be bad blood between them. Angel made a note to ask Solaris about her. Finally, he raised his gaze back to hers, offering his try at a friendly enough smile. "She wanted a foal." And what did you want out of the deal, hm? Acceptance? Someone to 'love' you? She only tolerates you and I doubt this mare will feel the same. You're too weak for her daughter and she can see right through you. The mare gave her name as Celestria, using another name, too, Warsaw. Angel flinched a little, remembering well the stallion that intimidated him in the Inlet. She mentioned that Solaris must have talked about her and Angel scowled in thought before shaking his head.

"No, I'm sorry, but she doesn't talk a lot about her family." She doesn't really talk to you about anything, though, does she? Not that other stallion she's been visiting or her family. She introduced you to her grandfather and gave you a daughter. What more did you expect?" He glanced again at the colt at her side and offered another smile. "He's handsome. Can I ask what happened to his mother?"
