She had heard the battle screams as Liland went to face Rougaru in challenge and oh, how her blood had run warm, racing through her body as she charged over the ridge, wanting to watch every aching moment. She knew from the cries what they were fighting over and she felt something foreign leap in her chest. He had come for her. Sure, it had taken far too long for her taste, but still, he'd done it. And when that victory bugle came from his luscious lips, she trembled with ecstacy, wanting nothing more than to go running to him. Ah, but where's the fun in that? Though her gaze softened in concern when she saw him limping, she held her ground, not wanting to come off as too eager. Cause he'd made her wait, after all, didn't he? She flared her nostrils, letting out a defiant snort as he started looking around. She knew he was looking for her. So should she let herself be known? Finally, she couldn't take it anymore, so she let out a cry of her own in challenge, tossing her head before she charged down the ridge to meet him. She arched her neck as she got closer, her eyes flashing as she loped a circle around him before daring to reach out, aiming a hard nip on the top of his flanks before she kicked up her heels in a buck and came to a stop before him. "That's for taking FOREVER to come get me." She scolded before her lips curled back in a sneer. Then she leaned forward till her lips barely brushed his ear. "Now, are you ready for what you get for winning me back?" Her brow arched teasingly as she purred the words, her tail swishing as the perfume of fall wafted around her. Then with a squeal, she tossed her head and started toward their side of the island, her home. "Catch me if you think you can handle it, lizard king." She called over her shoulder.
