She didn't know anything about how Elohim was raised, but he didn't seem to mind hard work and he could keep up a conversation while doing it. Since he was from Eden's pack, she had to wonder if they were related. Eden was pretty good at keeping up a conversation, too. When she told him about how they don't bury their food and come back for it here, she could see him glancing around, surveying the land as if to prove her point. She knew the swamplands that seemed to surround them would do just that in no time. Iromar was indeed a harsh land to live in, but she wouldn't have it any other way. This was home. She was sure he was probably thinking somewhere along those lines, that Iromar was not an easy place to live, but he chose to keep his opinions to himself, it would seem.

He decided to give out a random fact before he dove into the questions, saying he didn't know why his father sent him out. Her ears pricked and her brow rose expectantly. So Eden must be his father, then. She dipped her head in acknowledgement, letting him go on. She then tore into the doe to get her helping before she turned back to him as she laid down and started to eat. He said that he would answer any questions but that their theories would probably be more fun than the truth. She chuckled a little. "Are you sure you're not underestimating your father? The truth might be more creative than you think." She pricked her ears then, listening attentively as he told her that he was to ask each alpha for the names of wolves suitable to lead. She tilted her head, thoughtful for a moment.

"In my pack, I see a few prospects. Shaddix is a good loyal soldier. He's used to taking orders, which means he'd probably be good at giving them. He just doesn't know it yet. Most wolves used to being a subordinate seem to do well in a leadership role, or so I've seen." She shrugged. "Ruby has a very keen mind and she knows her history of Iromar and the packs. I don't think she has her eye on ruling, either, but that doesn't mean she wouldn't excel at it." She chuckled to herself and shook her head. "The only ones I see eying the throne here would be my own children. My daughter, Ontari, loves to follow me on patrols and learn what 'queens' do. Her words, not mine." She scoffed a little. "And then there's my trouble maker son, Apollyon. He practically wears a crown on his head already, in his mind, anyway. He's smarter than he gives himself credit for but that boy is VAIN." She smirked afterward.

No matter what she thought of her children, she would always love them and not think any less of them for being individuals with their own personalities. And they certainly had that. Next, he asked for traits and she scowled thoughtfully. "That's harder to pinpoint. Different traits make different leaders. Someone willing to set an example, I suppose, instead of always asking others to do the dirty work. Willing to sacrifice. Selfless. I mean, you can't ask a wolf to be completely selfless, but they have to know when to prioritize their pack above their own means." She looked at him more curiously when he gave his own theory. At least, the first she'd heard. "Doesn't he have enough kin to choose from?" She said with a small smirk of humor. She'd heard the rumors of Eden's many conquests. It was like he never wanted to settle down, but he was all about spreading his bloodline.
