sent from the heavens above...

He didn't really expect the mare to follow him back to Paradise. He really didn't expect her to go challenge for a herd of her own and win, either. So now, she didn't even have to bother making the swim. He was almost sad to see her go, if only cause she was the only other horse to acknowledge his presence so far, to actually see him. Besides Solaris, of course. But she'd been MIA a lot, as of late. She was still coming back smelling of that other stallion and no, he didn't have the guts to ask her about it. He still didn't feel it was any of his business. She's dropping you like a hot potato. Just accept it. You were only good for one kid. Now she sees you for the fraud you are. He grimaced at the harsh words, his ears flattening. But he pushed them to the back of his mind as he thought of his beautiful daughter Galexia. He wouldn't have her any other way. He just wanted them to be happy, both of them.

When Solaris had yelled at him for coming back smelling of another mare, he didn't know what to think. Was he not allowed to even talk to them? A voice inside his head wanted to ask her why it was right for her to wander off for days at a time and come back smelling of another stallion, but of course he didn't have the nerve to say it. He bit his tongue and let it go, as always. Coward. His tail swished against his haunches at the accusation, knowing it was right. He didn't want to fight with Solaris. He just wanted to make her happy. Apparently you can't do that, don't you see? She's better off without you. Both of them are. A defeated sigh left his lips as he hung his head for a minute. He felt sorry for himself for all of ten seconds before he caught a sight of Galexia in his peripheral vision. She was always enough to take him away from the darkness of his thoughts. She was his little light, his world.

At least he got to watch over her while Solaris was away. He loved spending time with his daughter. As he took her for a walk along the shore of Paradise, he caught sight of someone swimming toward them and his heart thumped in his chest cause he recognized the silhouette. It could only be Solaris. His nostrils flared, drinking in her sweet scent as she got closer. He wondered if she would still be mad at him. He ducked his head a little and checked on Galexia to make sure she wasn't getting into trouble before he turned back to where Solaris was coming up on shore. Even as she called for him, he was already trotting in her direction, ever at her beck and call. Like a little mutt yipping at her heels. So pitiful, so predictable. He snorted softly and tossed his mane, trying to rid himself of the voice, not that it ever worked.

"Hey....how was your trip?" He asked in a cautious voice, his gaze studying her pretty features carefully.
