He hadn't been expecting company so soon after killing Harker. Perhaps, he should have been more quiet. No, scratch that. HARKER should have been more quiet. He was the loud mouth screaming and begging for his life as Loki snuffed it out. And before that, he probably woke the whole of Moladian with his chattering. it was really quite annoying. So maybe he should have been expecting company, but what to do when it found him? How would he play this off? Could he get away with saying the other male tripped? Probably not with the blood all over his lips. Hm, could he write it off as a mercy killing? The other wolf was dying of some mental illness and asked Loki to end his life so he wouldn't have to suffer anymore? Maybe he could get away with that. He was continuing to go over his options when he heard the feminine voice call out from behind him.
He turned his gaze on the younger female, blinking in curiosity as his tail gave a wave. She spoke strangely, but he'd heard even more strange. Example: Harker. At least, she wasn't annoying. At least, not yet. She asked if it was a big meal and he tilted his head, weighing his options. She may not know his meal is a wolf yet but she would soon enough. How would she judge him, then? He was curious to find out, so he shifted his weight before answering, studying her pretty features as she took it all in. She even dared to move closer to him as she looked at what he'd done. Maybe he should feel guilty or proud or something, but he only wondered how she would react. When she did see that it was a wolf, her first reaction was to look at Loki. He met her gaze unwaveringly, his own empty of anything save curiosity. She didn't seem scared or even angry, all the emotions he thought he would see in another wolf who found what he'd done.
Was she different or was what he'd done not that bad? He was always used to hearing about death in terms of sadness or anger. She looked neither and so he had more questions. The female still seemed confident in her choice to approach him and yet she was watching him more, if anything. What to say? "I showed him mercy. He was suffering." He said the words slowly, still trying to gauge her reaction. Maybe if he tried his theory about a mercy killing, she would choose an emotion. He could have just said he got bored and killed the wolf, but maybe that would be sure to steer her emotions in one direction. He wanted to leave the possibilities open just to see what he would get.
