Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

*~My Next Collison Course~*

He knew what the other bachelors did in terms of getting mares. They stole them and raided and fought for the rights to them like property. He didn't believe as most of them did, but he liked Cullen and believed he was a fair leader. He knew what he was signing up for when he joined the herd here. He knew what a bachelor herd was known for, but he could be a warrior and still keep hold of his honor. He didn't raid or steal or trade mares like candy. He blocked a steal every once in a while, just to give a mare some sense of free will and he tried to branch out and meet who he could. He was slowly but surely starting to meet some of the other stallions here and they weren't bad, at least the ones he'd met. Each had their own distinct personality and ideals but that's what made them individuals. Who knew? Maybe some day they'd each have their own herds and those ideals might change.

Or maybe not. Only time would tell. He wandered the borders of the Lagoon, wondering if he should venture out to meet others again. It was refreshing to get out into the free lands and talk to other horses. He was building acquaintanceships, perhaps even friendships. Those might come in handy some day. That's when he saw the red roan mare by the water. She seemed uncomfortable, looking out into the water like she yearned to be somewhere else. Collision snorted, wondering if she might make a run for it. Deciding he should probably see what he could do, he made his way to her, but at a slower pace so she didn't feel like he was pressuring her. He lowered his head to show he meant no harm as his ears pricked and he let out a gentle whicker in her direction.

"Hello there. I'm Collision. What's your name?" Maybe if he struck up a conversation with her, he could find out if there was something he could do. Her stomach looked like it was rounding, like she was carrying a foal. He wondered if it was from one of the bachelors here. Did they steal or raid her? He hadn't met any of the mares brought here yet but he was sure being taken like that wouldn't make them happy to be here. She didn't seem to be.
