Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

The world had been quiet. It had been quite quiet everywhere for that matter. Even the sneak thief of Asteraia had been quite inactive. Matianak was fascinated by that beast, still was to this day, though she had failed to get her claws into him. Perhaps another day, she told herself. The predominantly grey woman was lounging near the northern reaches of Glorall when she heard it. Her pale gaze had been on Diveen for a time. There was something else interesting there, the way the Thunder King had allowed easy passage for Eden's children. From afar, she had even noticed on of the girls stressed over something. A note for another day. A different sound had piqued her attention. That voice had been gone for quite some time.

The woman rose as a smile creased her maw. She stretched her long legs before she hopped down from the dead, fallen tree she had chosen as her perch. She followed the path that hugged Diveen for a time before she reached the open spaces of Ruieze Fields. She could already smell him. What chaos would her dear brother bring with his return, she wondered. All the same, it was easier to sew her chaos when he was around.

Her fangs flashed briefly as he came into sight, as he dared make the claim she had gone tame. "It is hard to sew chaos when no one dares go out. Complacent, our little nook in the world has become," Matianak said. Her words were cut with a sharp, derisive laugh, "You know Eden better than most. No, our dear Fortitude has taken someone more... permanent." As much as she might enjoy power, there was a faint line that she did not dare cross. To come between mates was one thing. To come between the Fortitude and his Hand, was a completely different matter.

"And you, sweet brother, what did you discover on your long term jaunt outside Moladion?" she inquired. Perhaps some new knowledge gained elsewhere to sew his type of chaos? Or perhaps even something a pair of half-siblings might reap together. Of course, she was also curious of how her sweet nephew was doing, not that he was entirely that sweet. Her little Shade. Just the thought caused her sly smile to linger.
