But I shine the brightest

The mixture of shock and adrenaline overtook her small frame. She was too young to be feeling such real fear, but her father helped ease her a bit. Angel wraps himself around her in a warm embrace, but her heart still thumbs loudly in her ears. He says want she wants to hear, but he didn't move. She felt frantic, that they needed to move now, but Angel stayed in their embrace. It was driving her crazy! So she pulls back, but this is when she remembers her baby sister. The newborn filly she has desperately been trying to save unknowing if she was full-blooded to her or a half-sibling. It didn't matter.

There was too much of Solaris in the girl to tell who her sire was. Galexia thought that if she came out blue like Raider she would know, but this filly was the same shade of brown like their mother. Her patches of white were in different places but like Solaris. Neither Raider nor Angel had those. Her build looked Mustang, but Galexia could see some hairs on her hooves. Both those things were like Solaris expect her mother's build was more Friesian. Galexia knows she has Mustang in her blood, but she also knows Raider was all Mustang.

She did not look like herself. Galexia had been long as a foal and this filly was not long-legged. She was no so skinny either. Her green eyes flutter up to Angel as she watches his thoughts process through his head. Did he have an answer? Angel approaches the newborn and introduces himself. He asks for her name, but Galexia shakes her head. Her father turns to her with a scowl and she takes a step back, unsure. He scolds her for bringing the filly here and asks where her mother was. Her golden head hangs with shame. "I know, but...dad I had to save her. I couldn't leave her behind." She tries to plead her case with green eyes raising to meet Angel's gaze.

"Mom doesn't know we're here. I took her while mother was resting from giving birth. I don't even know her name yet." Saying it out loud, it felt wrong. Mother didn't deserve this even with her mistakes. Maybe Galexia had been wrong. That was when everything changed for the worse. A call of warning stretches through their gathering and successfully gains Galexia's full attention. Her head snaps towards Raider as he rushes in and stands over the filly with aggression towards Angel. She spots Solaris racing behind him and her newborn sister was able to move towards their mother to nurse.

Knowing her sister was safe for now, she turns her attention back to Raider and Angel. The fear was written all over her face as she slides between the two stallions, her back to Angel and facing Raider. "Don't hurt him! This is not his fault!" She shouts. "I brought my sister here. My father has nothing to do with this." She defends her father and tries to put all the blame on herself. I mean it was her fault her little sister was brought here.
