Her honey sweet voice fills the space between them. Nerid, a forsaken queen and daughter of no one. This piques his interest. He eyes her with curiosity. She does not explain further nor will he dig into the past that obviously pains her to even mention. There is a time and place to speak of such things, but this is neither.

He dares to venture closer, the distance between them narrow as he answers her question. "There is division on the Islands," he says with a nod of his delicately chiseled head. "A war, I am told, it is pitting Island against Island based on their beliefs," his says just above a whisper. He does not know who could be lurking within the shadows. His thoughts flicker to Amunet who had recently arrived in the Dunes to inform him of the War that has been declared.

None of this makes sense to him. He has seen the capability of a woman to lead just as much as a man. If she can prove herself worthy, just like a man should as well. It is a petty, pride driven war.

Are the commons still safe? He quietly contemplates her question. "I do not mean to scare you, but it seems that not many places are safe," even the Dunes it seems can not escape the inevitable. He would of course protect his lands and his herd with his life, if that is what the gods demand. But he would not go to war for someone else's petty cause.

"Soon, they will go to war. I have choose to remain out of their scuffle," he snorts through flaring nostrils.
